Problem Analysis and Conclusions

Analysis of a problem can be fairly straightforward if one uses a systematic approach to problem solving. This applies to all problems, no matter what their nature.

Every problem has a cause or reason for its creation or intrinsic nature, which results in the situation that is referred to as a 'problem. Therefore  the problem should be traced to its roots. Even mathematics uses this same principle of root analysis - the current nature of the problem, its process of development, and down to its root cause.

If the problem to be resolved is one of design or creation of an object of utility, then the analytic pattern would go as follows:

1.) Who is the user of this object? What are his abilities/disabilities and pattens for using it? (examine it for ergonomic design)

2.) What is the purpose of the object (utility, function, etc)

3.)How can I improve its utility and multiply its function in terms of add-ons?

4.) In what way can I improve its aesthetics while maintaining its full functionality?

5.) What are the alternates in terms of materials for its manufacture? Examine the materials with respect to sustainability, life-span, quality, texture, and environmental parameters, compatibility to human health, etc.

These are some of the basic parameters for analysis of the problem, and based on the specific nature of the problem, more/other parameters are evolved.
A similar approach can be followed for the resolution of any other problem, even those relating to inter-personal relationships in a team, as would be required by a manager or a team leader.

As for the solution, which should be a conclusion to the analysis of the problem, such can be arrived at after noting down all points during the process of analysis (brainstorm analytics). Solutions are arrived at as a process from a conceptual start such.
(Concept - process - solution.) The concept can be a vague idea towards the resolution of the problem. The process stage requires absolute focus on the issues and continuous thought even if one is working on something else physically. Only then can the "eureka" phase be achieved like the great inventors of yore Euclid, Archimedes, Newton and the like!
