Game Analysis, Role Switching

The most important aspect of the game is the number of players involved, in which two players are needed to participate known also as two handed, three players (three-handed) or many handed. There are three important variables to be considered for games:

Flexibility of the players.

Determines the players' ability and potential to change the tools being used from parts of the body, money or to words.

Tenacity. This determines the players persistence to stick to their game and their resistance ability to break it.

Intensity of the game. There are 2 kinds of games: the Easy Games and the Hard Games. The Easy games are much easier to play making it relaxing for the players to play while Hard games tend to be hard and aggressive for the players to play.

Games are also classified based on their potential harm and acceptability  such as:

First Degree Games - in which players are socially accepted in their own circle.

Second Degree Games - Where players hold back or choose to be invisible not causing irreversible damage to others in most situations.

Third Degree Games - which are sometimes drastic and causes harm to the players concerned.

Games are also studied according and based on the players role in which there is sometimes role switching, advantages to players, Social and Psychological Paradigms, dynamics and Aim.

Examples Of Common Games described by Eric Berne in Games People Play are:

1.  I'm Only Trying to Help You - ITHY
2. Why Don't You, Yes But. Historically, the first game discovered - YDYB
3. You Got Me into This - UGMIT
