Life Script Analysis, Liberation II

If you are eager for a change in your approach to life you are way ahead already and there are certain approaches which can offer a quick-fix... Life scripts are essentially unthinking lifelong habits and the prerequisite of those who prefer not to strain their brains with too much thinking. They can be addressed by getting into a habit of thinking about how you respond.

Thought defeats non-thought. It may seem simplistic but I have found this approach very useful and helpful with my life and relationships. But don’t expect others to follow your example.

On person in a relationship who thinks is enough to throw most games out of gear, because you’re no longer playing your role and instead focussing on solutions. Even if the other person persists with the game, recognize this and let it go.

Have you ever been in a crisis situation and experienced some part of you watching your reactions with amusement? You need to allow that part of your mind to play a bigger part in your life. Basic life scripts are not designed to help you become self-actualized but more tend to avoid responsibility and blame others. When you find yourself blaming or being unforgiving, you are playing a script (forgiveness is only necessary if you are blaming someone). A better attitude is “sh_t happens” and then get on with a solution.

Also if you find yourself thinking or saying; “This shouldn’t be happening.” You are arguing with reality and playing out a life script with an expected outcome. This is a very unproductive pastime. A better attitude is to accept that everything happens for a purpose, and simply rise to any challenge presented. Focus on What  has gone wrong, Why and What to do and forget about Who you can blame for it.

So whatever happens, just take a moment to think about it before you response, no matter how strongly you feel the need to leap into action
