Junior's out somewhere jumping up and down on his Life Script, seeing what happens when you throw it to the ground this way, or throw it in the air that way. Transactional analysis says Junior received a "life script" at a very early age from his parents, other authority figures, and even significant peers his own age.
The antiscript in the adolescent or teenager can take one of two directions. The Child ego may be expressed particularly as the Rebellious Child in the antiscript stage of development. This expression of the Child ego would be marked by all the recognizable signs of defiance, rebellion, and extreme or anti-social "acting-out".
It is well known that parents who were abused as children can in turn abuse their own children, although there are some who totally reject such behavior.
Knowing this can help us identify our own maladaptive attitudes and identify the reason.
As childhood life scripts are formed by the age of 5 or 6 years old, and certain aspects originate in infancy, our family dynamic plays a large part in our own personal life scripts. The ideal situation is where all members of the family are loving, with many positive attitudes being formed. The worst is when all members are unloving, with various combinations of loving and unloving possible.

And where do you live now? One of the key tenets of Transactional Analysis is that every person develops a life script at a very early age, and though this script is written subconsciously, it is heavily influenced by parents and other significant authority figures.
